Enterprise Architect – Financial Services – Up to £110k – City of London - Hybrid
Overview:
We are currently partnered with one of the world’s leading financial institutions who offer a broad range of services, including commercial banking, trust banking, securities, credit cards, consumer finance, and asset management. As an Enterprise Architect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and governing the strategic architecture for the organisations EMEA region and International Securities business. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of both technology and business processes, ensuring that the organisations architecture aligns with its long-term strategic objectives.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Define, implement, and manage processes to govern the organisation’s enterprise architecture.
2. Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization.
3. Work across application, infrastructure (cloud and on-premises), data, and security domains.
4. Develop and maintain architectural assets to support decision-making and regulatory requests.
5. Conduct technical reviews of project designs, business-as-usual (BAU) changes, and other initiatives that impact the technology architecture.
6. Collaborate with senior management to develop and track the progress of the technology strategy, providing regular status updates.
7. Produce management information (MI) and metrics, driving improvements across the organization.
8. Monitor and apply industry innovations and trends to the business’ architecture.
9. Mentor and guide junior team members.
10. Ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory controls.
11. Follow strict change management and privileged production access processes.
12. Promote core values-led culture, embracing diversity and inclusion.
13. Cultivate a dynamic, delivery-focused environment that partners with business units to provide responsive, value-driven solutions.
14. Foster strong relationships across the business, building a robust peer network and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
15. Proven experience in architectural roles within multi-entity, multi-regional financial services organizations.
16. Expertise in working with senior stakeholders across both business and technology functions.
17. In-depth experience reviewing and challenging cloud-based solutions (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
18. Hands-on experience with architecture modelling and associated tools (BizzDesign preferred).
19. Strong knowledge of applications, services, and processes within financial services.
20. Experience designing complex technology solutions in regulated environments.
21. Good understanding of software development practices and project delivery lifecycles.
22. Expertise in cloud-based technologies and architecture review processes.
Package:
* Up to £110,000 basic salary
* Up to 20% discretionary bonus

* Hybrid working – 3 days onsite (City of London)
