Job Description
An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Housekeeping Linen Porter to join the Rooms Department at Raffles London at the OWO.
Reporting into Assistant Executive Housekeeper, you will assist with delivery and control of amenities on guest floors and be responsible for stock levels and to provide consistently outstanding guest service according to The Raffles at The OWO Hotel and AA 5-star standards. To act as a representative of The Raffles value during your interaction with guests and colleagues.
Specifically as the Linen Porter:
1. Managing the items laundered in the Linen/Laundry areas
2. Assisting the linen deliveries in the pantries and service areas
3. Covering uniform issuing and dispatch to contractors the staff uniforms and guest work
4. Providing a great guest experience by avoiding oversights, damage and late deliveries where possible
5. Communicating with Laundry, guest work contractors and the equipment suppliers (regular maintenance)
6. Ensuring all floors are well stocked with linen, allowing a smooth turn round of guest rooms
7. Ensuring clear dirty linen continually from the floors, time to time check the chute areas if has any linen to be collected.
8. Delivering items of bedding to the room attendant when requested
9. Responsible for the linen and the equipment in laundry
10. Conducting daily linen stock issuing the RFID system
11. Processing quality check on the linen/toweling and deal with reject and damaged linen
12. Assisting with the staff uniform delivery and collection supply and support the valet team if needed
13. Maintaining the hotel’s stock of linen
14. Flexible in your working hours in-line with business requirements
15. Adhering to the grooming standards, your uniform is well presented, clean, and ironed
16. Performs other duties as required or assigned including working in a different department or restaurant, than usually assigned
