Fair Ways is a leading children’s services charity based in the Solent, delivering Fostering, Education, Residential, Mental Health, and Family services. We care for over 400 children, families, young people, and vulnerable adults each year.

Where and when do we need you?
We are looking for Learning Support & Behaviour Workers to support at our school located in Totton. Successful candidates will support young people with additional needs, specifically learners with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). Our students have been identified as having ASC and related needs and are better suited to 1:1 or 2:1 learning with a bespoke curriculum tailored to their individual needs. These students are often those who have been out of mainstream or specialist education for a long time, having exhausted multiple placements.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Providing support to students both onsite in lessons and offsite in activities.
2. Supporting teaching staff to deliver outstanding learning opportunities.
3. Setting a good example and offering support and guidance through honest, understanding, and proactive behavior.
4. Working as part of a supportive and experienced team demonstrating resilience, initiative, and adaptability.
Successful candidates will work 37.5 hours per week, term time only.
Additional requirements:
* Full driving license and access to a car are required.
* An enhanced Disclosure (DBS) is required; costs will be covered by Fair Ways.
Desirable but not essential:
While experience and qualifications are valuable, we also welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds who share our core values. We support your development through our in-house training program.
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant Award or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
