The position: Join our creative team at Molinare as a Foley Assistant, where you'll contribute to the creation of high-quality sound effects for TV, film, and video games. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with experienced Foley Artists, engineers, and recordists, gaining hands-on experience in the art of Foley and studio operations. We’re looking for a passionate individual eager to develop a career as a Foley Artist. The role requires flexibility with working hours and days to accommodate the demands of Foley recording and post-production schedules. Key Responsibilities: Studio Preparation: Assist with setting up and organising Foley studios, ensuring recording spaces are ready for each session. Prop Management: Organise, source, and maintain Foley props and materials, including occasional offsite pickups from local businesses. Running Duties: Handle errands such as collecting and delivering props, materials, and other studio essentials. Client Interaction: Provide professional and welcoming support to clients during sessions, ensuring an excellent studio experience. Team Support: Assist Foley Artists, engineers, and recordists with prop preparation, technical setup, and post-session breakdown. Studio Maintenance: Keep studio spaces clean, organised, and fully operational, including replenishing supplies and preparing rooms for the next session. Administrative Support: Print scripts and session materials, update schedules, and assist with bookings for freelance staff. Experience & Skills: Essential: A genuine passion for Foley and sound design within TV, film, and video games. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A full driving license and access to a car. A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced creative environment. Desirable: Knowledge of Foley processes and post-production workflows. Previous experience in a runner or client-facing role.
