Bristol MBDA are looking for a Weapon Systems Family Lead to be involved from Customer Capability Need capture, influencing of domain strategy, capturing (and presenting) the formal response to these needs and influencing the future research to align with those plans means that this role provides a real breadth of activity across the business Salary : Up to £60,000 depending on experience Dynamic (hybrid) working : 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification Security Clearance : British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Facilitate the delivery of future capability planning in support of the UK Portfolio focusing on specific Products, Domains and Missions. Generate Portfolio content, in conjunction with MOD and MBDA stakeholders, which provides the right balance between the Portfolio Drivers Manage and maintain configuration of future product concept definitions focused on enhanced delivery against Portfolio Considerations and Military Capability Provide a strategic relationship with key stakeholders e.g. S&BD, Future Systems, Programmes and equipment teams to support the development of Capability, Product and Domain roadmaps. Primary interface between the Portfolio and the Future Systems communities (Research & Technology, Concepts & Experimentation). Provide strong technical input to programmes in order to develop a clear rationale between different decisions and their impact on Portfolio considerations (i.e. Commonality, Modularity & Re-use, Export, International Collaboration, etc.). Support technical input to MOD Capability governance and assessment processes. What are we looking for? The ability to forge the essential relationships and influence the stakeholders above. The ability to work in an ambiguous space to form a coherent, collated strategy for the domain. Knowledge and experience of Weapon or Missile Systems, awareness of Complex Weapons technologies / sub-systems and the MBDA organisation / stakeholders. Ability to drive alignment of the Portfolio need with other business areas across MBDA UK. Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Someone who can embed the MBDA values as part of their daily role.
