Equans is looking for a Electrician to join our team in Worcester Royal Hospital, Worcester on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Maintenance Electrician will be able to lead in engineering activities and undertake duties for which they are trained and competent. What will you deliver?
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspection on electrical systems, mechanical and associated building services
* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks to various services across the site, including working on Lighting Systems, Nurse Call, L.V Electrical Installations, Security Systems, Motors, and Pumps
* Respond in the required time to ad-hoc breakdown requests as identified by supervisor/manager
* Assist in carrying out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works
* Carry out systematic fault finding in a logical and safe manner on malfunctioning equipment
* Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and company guidelines
* Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers guidelines
* Complete and maintain records as and when appropriate and as required, whether written or electronic
* Ensure liaison with Wards and Departments as required, ensuring there is minimum disruption
* Collaborate and co-operate with the partners and colleagues to deliver a customer-focused service

Who are we looking for?
* Recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
* At least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience within a maintenance environment
* Good electrical knowledge with the ability to fault find and repair electrical systems
* Previously worked within a maintenance environment
* Prepared to work out of hours as necessary
* Work as a team player, flexible and willing, taking a proactive approach to problem solving
This role includes a basic DBS check; therefore, the ability to pass is essential.
