Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a specialist independent school in Nuneaton that provides tailored education for students aged 7 to 16 with Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC). This school offers a therapeutic and nurturing environment, ensuring that each student receives individualised support to help them develop confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in empowering students to overcome challenges and engage positively in their education. Your Role: Build strong, trusting relationships with students, providing emotional and behavioural support. Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to help students develop social and emotional skills. Assist in classroom activities and encourage positive engagement with learning. Implement behaviour support strategies, helping students self-regulate and manage challenges effectively. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to provide a structured and supportive environment. Promote resilience, confidence, and independence in students through tailored mentoring. Qualifications and Requirements: Experience working with young people with SEMH, ASC, or challenging behaviours (desirable). A background in youth work, psychology, coaching, or mental health support (advantageous). A calm, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management. A clear enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one. A Full UK driving licence (desirable).
