Due to the increased requirement for learning at Bolton Abbey, we are looking to recruit a team of Outdoor Learning Facilitators. The role will contribute to the success of delivering the strategic ambitions for the Learning and Engagement team, and support the Devonshire Group goal to enable every child in local schools to experience our estates as part of their primary education. Learning Facilitators will deliver sessions for the main programme of outdoor learning, and for specific projects and events at Bolton Abbey. The role is delivery focused and will mainly involve facilitating onsite outdoor learning experiences for visiting primary schools, and sometimes secondary school pupils, young people from local community and learning groups. Learning groups select from a programme of curriculum linked sessions (currently with an outdoor focus) or are invited to participate in projects for exhibitions and public events. This might include learning groups or families. Learning facilitators will meet school groups on arrival and deliver sessions to meet the needs of the group and set objectives. We are looking to recruit Learning Facilitators with a range of skillsets in outdoor learning. Our core values include “Being Inclusive” and we particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates who are currently under-represented. We also welcome applicants from the LGBTQ community. Flexible ways of working will always be considered.
