Enfield Local Authority SEN Service is looking for three SEND Impact Advisors for the next 12 to 18 months - each post will cover a separate age group (within Primary, Secondary, Further Education). Each post will work collaboratively with education settings to audit EHCPs to ensure sections E & F are delivered, review EHCP funding for provision, support with writing EHCP outcomes, and provide support/guidance for delivering SEND provision. The postholder will be line managed by the DBV programme manager. This is an exciting time to join the team, which is also working on the Change Programme, the legislation that supports the improvement plan for the SEND Green Paper.
We are looking for candidates with negotiation skills to work with SEND Partnership colleagues, including education, health, and social care. You will need to be a shaper and influencer, someone who is keen to get the job done in an innovative and positive way. Candidates should be passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people within the borough, innovative, and highly motivated to support and effect change, with evidenced-based practice of high-quality co-production.
Candidates will need up-to-date knowledge and experience of SEND legislation and processes and an understanding of data development.
An external candidate, including Enfield Council agency workers, would be appointed on a fixed-term contract, while internal candidates who are Council employees would normally be expected to take up the post on a secondment basis.
To be eligible to apply for a secondment, Enfield Council employees must have completed probation and must have discussed/agreed the proposed secondment with their line manager. Fixed-term contracts may be considered where a secondment is not possible.
Secondments are the temporary loan of an employee from one part of the organisation to another part of the organisation and rely on the secondee to return to their substantive position on completion of the secondment.
Those members of staff that are at risk of redundancy and on the Council’s redeployment register will be considered first.
