Swimming Coordinator - East Berkshire Full-Time Role Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 Bonus up to £2,400pa Location: Hybrid role with a combination of office, home, and venue-based working across five full days (Sunday–Thursday). This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations at multiple venues, supporting both SwimExpert (private lessons) and HydroKidz (group lessons). Over the past decade, we have expanded significantly: Private Lessons: Now operating at 30 venues, primarily in the South East HydroKidz: Group swimming lessons available at nine schools, serving over 2,000 children weekly E-Commerce Expansion: Acquired SimplySwim.com in 2020, complementing our existing online store TheSwimmingShop.com We are committed to growth, continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards across all aspects of our business. Key Responsibilities Swim Programme Management: Oversee, develop, and monitor the implementation and administration of Learn to Swim programs Team Coordination: Efficiently deploy and manage staff to align with customer and business needs Mentorship & Training: Lead staff inductions, training sessions, and ongoing development for swimming teachers and coaches Performance & KPI Management: Monitor and achieve key performance targets Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety, employment, and safeguarding legislation Strategic Growth: Implement ideas to enhance business operations, customer experience, and revenue generation Teaching Commitment: Deliver approximately 10 hours of swimming lessons per week as part of leading by example Requirements Leadership & Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage teams, solve problems, and make effective decisions Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships and engage with staff, customers, and stakeholders Technical Expertise: ASA/Swim England/STA Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) and understanding of Learn to Swim teaching pathways Flexibility: Willingness to adapt work hours to meet programme needs Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant health and safety and employment legislation Technology Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Driving Licence: Full UK licence required Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential —we value skills, ambition, and a proactive approach.
