Senior Transport Planning Advisory | Chelmsford | Full Time / Part time | £35-45k per annum Galle Saliman, a consultancy advising local, regional and national governments, is seeking a Senior Transport Planning Advisory to join their team in Chelmsford. With a reputation for innovative thinking, versatile analysis and a collaborative approach, Galle Saliman works with senior officers, politicians and ministers to shape policy and inform infrastructure decisions. The role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful projects across the UK public sector and overseas. The Senior Transport Planning Advisory will provide key technical input, data modelling and critical analysis of policy, process and legislation for a variety of projects. Initially, you will support established staff but are expected to demonstrate the ability to lead your own projects, resolve complex issues and deliver high-quality outcomes. Examples of recent projects include: Process mapping and redesigning a legislative process, consulting with providers and facilitating workshops to reach a consensus on a new model Developing principles for bus network revisions that balance social equity and commercial goals Designing and delivering an accessible app for front-line staff, providing guidance, decision tools and educational content Generating evidence to evaluate the impacts of pedestrianisation on a main street, overcoming resistance and presenting findings in a clear, credible manner Modelling parking facilities to inform a city-wide parking estate plan and financial strategy The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of navigating complexity and skilled at finding opportunities within data. You must possess the ability to ask the right questions, critique information and present compelling evidence to support well-reasoned recommendations.
