We are looking to appoint an Assistant Charity Shop Manager to join our team, who will support the safe and effective working of the shop and will strive to further the mission of The Salvation Army. Key Responsibilities: You will be assisting with the management of the daily operation of the shop and warehouse, including management of staff and volunteers to maintain the highest standards of customer care, stock management and shop appearance. You will also be responsible for shop security, accounting of cash, health and safety and administrative tasks. Part of the role will be to drive the van and collect donations from the public. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Recent experience of working as an assistant manager or supervisor in a retail environment Previous merchandising experience IT literacy Prior knowledge of valuation of items and knowledge of gift aid process Full driving licence to be able to drive collections van with the ability to lift and move heavy donations safely Understanding of profit and loss Previous experience of training and recruiting staff In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.
