DISTRIBUTED CONTROL SYSTEM ENGINEERS (DCS) - AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE:

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Bullisher continuously increases modernisation of digital applications, migrating data to meet progressive data migration and features management. This involves leveraging controls in application codes that allow deployment to production without full release to end users. Key responsibilities include:
1. Deployment of applications for performance improvement.
2. Testing and production experimentation.
3. Exposing new infrastructure to users with precise control, undergoing formal approval and review by the Change Approval Board (C.A.B).
4. Managing applications connecting to multiple databases and measuring performance.
5. Maintaining the switch between retired systems and new database systems.
6. Implementing feature flags to control system switches.
SHIELD PERFORMANCE, FLAG MANAGEMENT BEST PRACTICES (MANDATORY): Changes to infrastructure must undergo formal approval and review by the C.A.B. Responsibilities include:
1. Validation of integrated and custom tools.
2. Generating wrappers around databases for measurement comparisons.
3. Taking precautionary steps to handle routed control traffic.
ENVIRONMENT: This position will operate within the regulatory engineering division, "MULTIDOMAIN DEFENCE DOCK" standard engineering lab environment.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the UK. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
QUALIFICATION, KEY REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS SET:
* Extensive experience in building, deploying, testing, and experimenting in production environments.
* In-depth experience with systems programming languages like Rust, Golang, Typescript, Lua.
* Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and system design.
* Experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in large-scale distributed systems.
* Knowledge in low-latency real-time environments such as game engine architecture and high-performance computing.
* PhD in Database Development and Application Management/Computer Engineering.
* 20+ years of experience in database and infrastructure migration.
