About the role

Join our Power Commercial team as a Managing Quantity Surveyor and you'll deliver complex work that really matters to our business and become involved in some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the industry.

What you'll be doing
* Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers.
* Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works.
* Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain.
* Directly line manage a team across a large project or small portfolio of projects
* Manage resource plan in line with current workload and future resource requirements.
* Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders.
Who we're looking for
* An organised, innovative and creative Quantity Surveyor with knowledge and experience of working on Projects.
* Experience of collating costs and maximising value on a large project or portfolio of projects
* Experience of working as a SQS, including the need to support with financial and commercial control within a project or number of projects.
* Experience of procuring and managing supply chain
* Maintain a Personal Development Plan
* Proactively develop others around you including junior members of the team
* Demonstration of working to deadlines including effective delegation, working efficiently and to a high standard.
* Interest and experience in infrastructure projects.
* Demonstration of resilience and determination to succeed.
The following qualifications or equivalent (preferred, not essential to role):
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent level of education or experience
