The School for Vocational and Technical Studies at South Thames College is seeking a Construction Lecturer with skills in more than one trade – someone to deliver outstanding quality teaching, learning, assessment, and tutorial support to students to maximize achievement and continuous improvement. This role plays a fundamental part in supporting the development of the curriculum with employer engagement and learner skills development.
You will deliver teaching and assessment activities within the area of Construction including lectures, setting/marking coursework, practical activities, and fieldwork. You will select appropriate assessment methods and criteria, assess the work and progress of students by reference to the criteria, and provide constructive feedback to students.
We’re looking for someone who has recent experience of teaching Construction in an FE College and who has a successful record of setting and implementing target setting, monitoring, and reviewing progress. Qualified to teach (or willing to complete a teaching qualification through us), you will have a successful record of outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment and have strong evidence of effective employer engagement in curriculum design and delivery. We would also like you to have a strong working knowledge of the current framework for teaching, learning, assessment, and quality assurance and the ability to work under strict validating body deadlines.
