Our client is a forward-thinking, innovative and friendly law firm. Their Real Estate Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic support assistant to join their Maidenhead office. The role involves providing secretarial and administrative support to the team.
Previous Commercial Property experience would be ideal, but we will consider a strong Legal Secretary from other sectors of law.
Duties:
1. Assist the Real Estate Team in ensuring smooth progress of work and excellent client service.
2. Handle general typing, digital dictation, document inputting, and correspondence as directed by lawyers.
3. Utilise the firm's Case Management system to prepare relevant documents, deeds, and conduct Land searches.
4. Address post-completion issues, such as contacting the Land Registry to remove charges and managing agents for leasehold properties.
5. Submit registrations within the priority period and handle Land Registry requisitions and post-completion queries.
6. Ensure clear ledger and file organization, preparing documents for lenders/clients, and arranging submissions to HMRC and Land Registry.
7. Assist lawyers with requisitions from the Land Registry, pass files for scheduling, and handle discharge of undertakings.
8. Assist with retention releases, compliance-related client letters, filing, archiving, and retrieval of client files.
