Mental Health Classroom Support Worker
Pay: £84+ per day, paid weekly through PAYE (no umbrella or agency fees)
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Classroom Support Worker to join our team, supporting students in a specialist Pupil Referral Unit with mental health needs and challenging behaviors. This role is ideal for those looking to gain hands-on experience in mental health and behavior support settings, with opportunities to develop essential skills for a career in psychology, social care, or mental health services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support to students with a range of mental health needs and challenging behaviors in a specialist classroom setting.
* Implement behavior support strategies in line with individual support plans.
* Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and effective care.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing assessments.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a care, support, or mental health setting is preferred.
* Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and effectively.
* Team Teach training is desirable.
