The Customer Experience team is responsible for the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax & Business Rates, the administration of Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Blue Badges, financial assessments for adult social care fees, deputyship clients and customer services. About you… As a Benefits Assistant you will have: Good communication skills Good IT skills an eye for accuracy and attention to detail an understanding confidentiality excellent customer service skills and able to be tactful and sympathetic experience of working in a busy customer focused team/office Willingness to learn and develop new skills About the role… As a Benefits Assistant you will be the administrative support for the Benefits team. Duties will include: Scanning incoming post and uploading of electronic mail Indexing documents in workflow monitor and respond to email enquiries Updating databases Answering customers’ enquiries using different communication channels Ability to acquire and develop a working knowledge of rules and procedures Benefits Assistant interviews will be held week commencing 10 March 2025.
