Conventional machinist/turner\n\nDue to further expansion - this growing business who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner/Machinist.\n\nYou will be responsible for: -\n\n * Conventional turning and milling using manual machinery.\n\n * The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts\n\n * Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts\n\n * Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats\n\n * General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.\n\n * On call work – one in four\n\n * General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal.\n\nTo apply you will be: -\n\n * An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC)\n\n * General bench fitting experience would be ideal.\n\n * Must be available to be on call one week a month\n\n * Overtime available subject to workload\n\n * Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal\n\n * Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude\n\n * Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.\n\nWhat’s on Offer:\n\n * Excellent salary (dependant on skills and experience)\n\n * 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (increasing to 25 after 2 years)\n\n * OTE around £45,000 plus with overtime\n\n * Contributory Pension Scheme\n\n * Free onsite parking\n\n * Regular overtime
