We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Care Worker to join our team in Ard na Mara, Ladysbridge, Co Cork.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 19.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €38,107 to €50,953 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 31/32/34 days
Overview of the Post:
To work as part of the team in Ard Na Mara (Adult Respite Services) and to support the Person in Charge in providing a quality service to adults with disabilities availing of respite. Assisting Service Owners to plan for and direct their supports to meet their personal goals during respite, and to support service owners in making connections within their local community.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023, must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role. Please click here for list of CORU approved qualifications.
2. Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans.
3. Experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker.
4. Experience of delivering personal care to adults.
5. Experience of assisting adults with medical needs/ administering medication.
6. Experience of engaging in professional supervision.
7. Experience of working with adults with disabilities including physical/intellectual/ASD/behaviours of concern.
8. Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
9. Experience in taking leadership in the development of personal plans.
10. Experience in responding to complaints.
