There are 2 Older Adult Units based at Berrywood Hospital. Riverside Unit is a purpose built 12 bedded in-patient unit for service-users aged 65 years and over experiencing mental health difficulties and Brookview is our specialist 12 bedded Dementia ward. They offer modern comfortable accommodation for service users and are a pleasant environment for carers to visit their family and friends and for staff to work in. As a hospital we strive to continually improve the care that we deliver as well as nurturing the relationships we have with our service users, carers and other people involved in an individual’s care.
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools.
