The Company Nigel Wright Group are working with a market-leading Manufacturer to recruit a Commodity Manager into their Purchasing Team.They will support hybrid working - minimum 4 days per week on site with the option of 1 day per week home-working. The Opportunity Working within a small team, the Commodity Manager (Direct Materials) will have strategic procurement responsibility for a range of Direct commodities, remit to include: Developing commodity strategy - focusing upon Quality, Cost, Delivery Commodity spend and supply analysis New supplier sourcing, contract negotiations Supplier performance management and review meetings Deputising for Procurement Manager About You The successful Commodity Manager will have/be: Directs' commodity management/procurement experience from within Manufacturing/Engineering background Commodity management experience/contract management experience Strong negotiation skills, confident to manage stakeholders both internally and externally Experienced in cost analysis, commercially astute Dynamic problem solver Ambitious, resilient, assertive and autonomous, able to hit ground running If you have a proven track record in commodity management and are seeking a next step into a business seeking to hire future leaders, please get in contact.
