Certification Engineer (FTC until June 2025)
Contract Detail:
* Duration: Start ASAP until June 2025
* Salary: £40k pro rata
* Location: West London (Uxbridge area)
* Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm
* Hybrid Working: Office days on Monday to Wednesday, remote work on Thursday and Friday
A leading global engineering company in West London is seeking a Certification Engineer for a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2025, with potential for extension.
Role Overview: As a Certification Engineer, you will ensure that our products meet regulatory and safety standards across various countries. Your responsibilities will include liaising with laboratories for regulatory submissions, communicating with suppliers and staff at all levels, and educating personnel and customers on compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain product certifications and approvals
* Develop and manage regulatory submissions with certification bodies
* Review and update product compliance files
* Initiate and sustain compliance improvements
* Understand and review new product standards, guidelines, directives, and regulations
* Liaise with Engineering and Production departments for product compliance
* Support affiliates in obtaining EU or UK certification
* Lead compliance and certification audits
* Assist customers with certification projects
* Adhere to all organisational work instructions and health, safety, and environmental regulations
Key Requirements:
* Engineering background (any sector)
* Comfortable conducting external product audits with suppliers
* Knowledge of quality and compliance on products
* Desirable: knowledge of product testing and water systems
* Experience in compliance and conformity within an industrial or laboratory environment
* Familiarity with product certification and legislation (CE, REACH, ROSH, SCIP)
* Manufacturing experience, ideally in injection moulding, machining, and assembly
* Ability to understand engineering drawings and product specifications
* Degree in Quality, Product Design, Materials, or equivalent experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ideally experienced with SAP
