Head of Procurement, GBP70,000, West Dorset
Rubicon's Executive Search & Selection Division has been appointed by a manufacturing company to support their search for a Head of Procurement. Reporting directly to the board, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the procurement strategy as well as lead the teams to ensure that procurement, stores, and facilities across the group meet the company's supply chain commitments.

As Head of Procurement, you will benefit from a healthcare package, 25 days plus BH (3 days off over Christmas), extra holiday incentives, and an early finish on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor the procurement, stores, logistics, and facilities teams to achieve optimal supplier performance, compliance, and cost management.
2. Implement and maintain replenishment systems for stock.
3. Develop and implement strategic direct and indirect sourcing plans aligned with the business's objectives.
4. Build strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
5. Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and systems, in line with the business sustainability goals.
6. Produce detailed and accurate procurement reports.
Minimum Requirements:
1. MCIPS qualification (or working towards) - advantageous but not essential.
2. Significant experience in procurement within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
3. Strong leadership skills and a track record of managing high-performing teams.
4. Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
5. A strategic mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
