Job summary We are seeking to appoint an Advanced Endoscopy Fellow on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This fellowship would be suitable for a Gastroenterologist who is reaching the end of their specialist training and wishes to develop a specialist interest in Endoscopy. The post holder will be part of the wider endoscopy team at Frimley Health NHS Foundation trust consisting of 16 gastroenterologists and 3 clinical endoscopists working across 3 sites and 11 procedure rooms. Opportunities will be available for training in advanced endoscopic techniques. These include, oesophageal RFA (HALO), upper GI EMR, single balloon enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy, colonic EMR and dilatations. Opportunities to learn full thickness resection is also available. The post holder will be a member of the endoscopy training team and opportunities will be available in endoscopy education. Main duties of the job The post holder will be expected to provide 4 service lists per week as part of endoscopy backfill. 1 of these lists will be an in-patient list.
