Our client offers a wide selection of planning services and advice on a mixture of projects within the residential, strategic land, energy, and environmental project across England and Wales.
With 2 offices based throughout the UK, our client has developed a healthy pipeline and a strong clientele. Their steady workload stems not only from repeat business of private clients but also from a sister company. As an Assistant Town Planner, you will be a vital part of the wider team, working closely alongside senior members of staff on projects from beginning through to conclusion. You will be liaising directly with clients, building new client relationships and managing existing relationships with client meetings and site visits.

Assistant Town Planner Position Remuneration
* Competitive salary ranging from £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

Assistant Town Planner Position Overview
* Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries
* Attending regular community engagement, committee meetings, and public examinations
* Conducting research and feeding into planning appraisals to establish the development potential of sites
* Researching planning policies to guide developments
* Writing high-quality reports with recommendations
* Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process
* Attending site visits and client meetings
Assistant Town Planner Position Requirements
* Chartered membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is preferred
* Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience
* A full driving licence
* Strong report writing skills and experience of delivering recommendations on a range of major planning applications
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
