Haventus was born out of the vital need for port space to support large-scale deployment of offshore wind. The first Haventus energy transition facility is currently under development at Ardersier Port. When completed, it will transform Scotland’s largest brownfield port into a world-class facility for the deployment and servicing of offshore wind installations. Ardersier Port boasts a prime location on the Moray Firth. It represents an operational model that Haventus will seek to replicate across the world, to help enable a greener, net zero future globally. Position: About The Role The HSEQ Advisor will be meticulous and proactive in their role to ensure safety is a top priority across the Port. You will be responsible for supporting the HSEQ Manager to achieve the company’s safety goals whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety throughout all Port activities. You will have a strong understanding of construction and marine safety practices, excellent communication skills and a passion for promoting a safe work environment. What You'll Do Regulatory compliance Keep up to date with UK health and safety regulations relevant to the construction and port industries. Assist the management team to ensure that all construction and marine activities carried out at the Port comply with these regulations. Safety protocols and risk assessments Develop, implement and enforce safety processes and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Identify potential hazards, assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate risks and improve safety. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction and marine activities. Occupational health Liaise with colleagues and managers to ensure Occupational Health processes are in place and kept up to date. This includes health surveillance, drug & alcohol testing and medical escalations where required. Assess Occupational Health questionnaires to identify any next steps to support safe operations. Training and education Provide training and education to colleagues on safety protocols, procedures and best practices. Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings and training sessions to promote awareness and understanding of safety requirements. Contractor collaboration Collaborate with contractors during construction works and chair monthly HSEQ meetings. Develop contractor's interface documents. Conduct contractor’s assurance activities as required. Incident investigation Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses on site. Identify root causes, corrective actions and develop action plans to prevent similar incidents in the future. Promotion of safety culture Promote a culture of safety throughout the company. Encourage open communication, active participation, and accountability for safety among all colleagues. Documentation, reporting and emergency response Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, incidents and corrective actions. Prepare reports and documentation as required by departments and the management team. Support departments with their emergency response plans for the Port. Facilitate and execute emergency response exercises. We intentionally don’t list all the things that the role involves.
