Position summary:
MEDICAL MULTI DROP DRIVER - B LICENCE – FAREHAM
BASED: Unit C1 Segensworth Business Centre, Segensworth, Fareham, PO15 5RQ
SALARY: £24,539.94 P/A (40 hours) - £29,452.80 P/A (48 hours) at £11.80 per hour
HOURS: Mon - Fri, Start Time 06:00, Average 48 hours per week
As a Medical multi-drop driver, you’ll make between 25 and 40 collections and deliveries to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, home delivery patients, wholesalers, and hospitals. Starting 0600 hours, you’ll work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature.
Key responsibilities:
1. Check and scan all consignments
2. Complete daily safety checks of vehicle and refrigeration unit
3. Deliver consignments on an accurate and timely basis ensuring products stay within the required temperature range
4. Ensure that records of deliveries are electronically captured and driver manifests are completed
5. Maintain daily communications to provide service updates
6. Demonstrate professional and safe driving competency at all times
7. Present a smart working appearance at all times
Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
2. Must hold a B category driving licence (no more than 3 points)
3. Previous multi-drop driver experience advantageous
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
5. Ability to build effective working relationships with customers/clients, whilst appreciating the need for maintaining confidentiality
6. Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
7. Good team player and able to work on your initiative
