The Role An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a proactive and results-driven individual to join Mercedes-Benz of Poole as a Group Business Development Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by maximising sales and profit opportunities across Mercedes-Benz and Smart brands. Your main focus will be developing new corporate and business prospects, working to build and nurture relationships with local businesses, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery. As a Business Development Manager, you will engage with potential customers, demonstrate vehicles, and build tailored sales presentations to meet their needs. You'll work closely with our internal marketing team to promote financial services offers, manage tender submissions, and collaborate with the retail sales and service teams to drive business success. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in B2B and fleet sales, with a passion for delivering results in line with the business's objectives. We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively with business clients, helping them navigate the acquisition of company vehicles, while also consistently hitting targets and contributing to the overall success of our corporate department. Responsibilities Include: Prospect new business clients through leads, cold calling, and follow-ups Organise and conduct test drives, offering professional advice to business clients Prepare bespoke presentations and quotations for business customers Manage the fleet database and reports, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information Collaborate with internal teams to identify sales opportunities and generate leads Attend networking events and host company events both on and off-site Offer a range of insurance products and service packages to clients Maintain a professional appearance, reflective of the Mercedes-Benz brand About You A proven background in B2B and fleet sales Strong understanding of the Mercedes-Benz brand and the luxury automotive market Exceptional communication and negotiation skills Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites Ability to work collaboratively and meet targets in a team environment Immaculate personal presentation befitting the Mercedes-Benz brand On Offer Competitive salary of up to £80,000 per year, plus bonus scheme Monday to Friday, 0830 - 1800, 42.5 per week but some flexibility around this would be required.
