Job description:
We have an opportunity for an ADM Leader (DMLS) to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts using a variety of rapid prototyping technologies. You will work closely with design engineers to create prototype parts for Wind Tunnel testing and the full-size race car. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. What you will be doing:
* Leading and developing all aspects of DMLS additive manufacturing.
* Including (but not limited to) machine programming, machine operations, health & safety, post processes such as heat treatment and component finishing.
* Working with design groups and industry to develop new applications.
* Optimising all parameters including machine accuracy and calibration, mechanical properties and overall asset performance.
* Overseeing the workflow of the rapid prototyping department.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
* Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols are implemented and followed.
* Defining and implementing H&S and cleanliness standards.
* Lead and/or participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
* Develop and maintain technology data and KPI’s.
* Oversee staff development and manage performance issues.
Requirements
* Extensive experience of operating/developing DMLS technology and associated processes.
* Extensive knowledge of developing programming parameters and material properties.
* A broad knowledge across multiple ADM technologies.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and designs.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with design engineers.
* Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize competing demands.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Power Bi would be advantageous).
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
