Job Description:
About ARU:
ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive, and entrepreneurial education and research. It holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARU's research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical, and creative fields. We deliver impactful research that addresses pressing issues and benefits our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognized by UK funding bodies, with 16 research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health, and Social Care students in the East of England and among the UK's leading universities for degree apprenticeships, collaborating with numerous employers across the UK.
About the Role:
You will join our School of Life Sciences, collaborating with academics teaching and conducting research in Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Crime and Investigative Science, and Animal and Environmental Biology, within our Faculty of Science and Engineering. Our school values a strong research culture combined with excellence in teaching.
You should have a degree or relevant professional qualification, extensive CPD, and be HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist in any area of Biomedical Science. You will be part of our team delivering BSc and MSc Biomedical Science courses accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS). You will also oversee the management and delivery of student work placements. The position is permanent but offered as a fractional appointment (0.4-0.8 FTE) to support external engagement and professional development. While research is not a requirement, participation is encouraged if desired and feasible.
We are committed to equality, diversity, and supporting women in science. Flexible working arrangements are welcomed, and we encourage work patterns that suit individual and institutional needs.
Additional benefits include generous holiday entitlement, pension schemes, training opportunities, travel schemes, and relocation support. Full details are available on our website.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. We reserve the right to close the vacancy early once sufficient applications are received.
