As our POS Rep & Crane Controller, you will work alongside our in-house On Track Plant team, carrying out COSS and Crane Controller duties.
As our POS Rep/Crane Controller, you will be responsible for:
· Ensuring all work involving operated plant are compliant with internal procedures and standards, POS Rules and legislation
· Supervising site OTP operations
· Preparation and issue of POS Packs ensuring site details are correct and cover works to be carried out
· Participate in the development of OTP plans for projects allocated
· Ensure that all data, reports and documentation are provided as mandated by the Company’s POS procedure
· Undertake other activities associated with railway construction work for which the individual is deemed competent as required and directed
· Delivery of works to program and budget
· Taking responsibility for the health and safety of employees, ensuring that sites are run in a safe, efficient and economical manner
· Dealing with all matters concerning contracts efficiently and in the best interest of the company
· Ensuring all legal requirements are met whilst undertaking duties, with particular emphasis on health and safety and the environment.
· Delivering Toolbox Talks and briefings
· Maintaining good relationships with the client and their representatives
· Ensuring that they and those for whom they have responsibility understand, operate and adhere to company procedures

To be successful as our POS Rep/Crane Controller, we would ideally like you to have the following skills/experience:
· Hold a PTS/COSS/IWA Certificate
· Be competent with implementation of current CDM Regulations
· Understanding of POS scheme requirements
· Familiarity with the H&S/Environmental requirements
· Strong planning and organisational ability
· Knowledge of railway plant and/or construction activities
· Forestry and/or vegetation clearance and/or civils experience

This role can be physically demanding, and some tasks will be at heights. You will be required to work outside from time to time, so you must be happy to work in all that the British weather has to offer.
