Our “ Specials” manufacturing division make a range of licensed and unlicensed medicinal products - from creams and ointments to suspensions and solutions. We're looking to add a QC Analyst to this busy and fast-paced team. The Role The QC Release Technician is responsible for performing quality checks on materials received into the warehouse, to ensure these comply with expected GMP standards for use in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The QC Release Technician will coordinate material quarantine and release processes, as well as liaising with departments such as Goods-In and Production to ensure material sampling and dispatch for testing is completed promptly to ensure Quality Control processes are executed in a timely manner. As a QC Release Technician your responsibilities will include, although not limited to: To follow, promote and enforce relevant SOPs, Work Instructions, and Company policies and procedures Sample, review, and release raw materials, intermediates, and packaging materials. Pack down of raw materials Assist in stock control and support purchasing activities Liaise with other departments such as Purchasing, QA and Formulation to support introduction processes for new materials. Planning and scheduling of document reviews, sampling and testing to ensure all metrics and customer requirements are met Support the continuous review, improvement and implementation of SOPs, Methods, and Specifications Complete all tasks safely and report incidents/near misses to line manager Change focus depending on priority of product and need of patient Ensure work areas are clean and tidy at all times Actively maintain and develop company Quality and Business Systems in conjunction with other Target departments To proactively support the businesses operation by helping in other departments which may be busier than your own at a particular time To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: Experience of operating in a similar role is desirable Demonstrable experience of working autonomously and making decisions Strong, up to date knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices Confident dealing with managers and employees at all levels Comfortable with travel at least 4 days per calendar month Experience working in pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences industry advantageous English and Mathematics GCSE grades A-C (or equivalent) Highly computer literate; experience operating with all Microsoft Office software Benefits of Working with Us: Joining the Target Healthcare Group means being part of an inspired, enthusiastic team committed to our vision and values.
