Due to expansion of services, Glangwili General Hospital are looking for an experienced CT Radiographer to support our service.
Applicants will possess BSc / HCPC registration plus appropriate experience in CT.
The successful applicants will be based at Glangwili General Hospital but will be expected to be flexible in their approach to the needs of the service and may be required to work at other sites within the Health Board.
The post is a full time position and will consider a job share, plus participation in extended days and the out of hours rota.
Main duties of the job
Glangwili General Hospital is a busy district general hospital which has major trauma status for West Wales. The department is well equipped with a GE 750HD CT scanner and a Canon Aquilion Prism recently installed in Jan 22. We perform the full range of examinations including CT Coronary Angiography.
The department has a Siemens Aera 1.5T MRI scanner and performs all examinations including a dedicated GA Paediatric session every two weeks. The general department has two Samsung DR rooms, all mobile equipment is digital and a selection of Philips II's. A Siemens Artis Zee fluoroscopy room facilitates ERCP, Permanent and temporary pacemaker insertion, Hysterosalpingography and swallowing assessment studies.
Role extension is encouraged and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hystrosalpingograms, Plain film, CT and MRI Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including ultrasound training.
The department has a busy on call, which is staffed on site for General and CT and from home for MRI. Participation in on call is mandatory after training and induction has been completed. All modalities work extended days and weekends.

Qualifications & Knowledge
* BSc Radiography (or recognised equivalent)
* Short specialist courses or experience to postgraduate diploma level
* HCPC registration
* Understanding of specialist radiography procedures and PACS
* Post graduate certificate in Mammography
Experience
* Qualified to use different equipment and x-ray techniques
* Substantial experience in specialist examinations (CT/MR)
* Supervising and Training Radiographers
* Previous NHS experience
* Evidence of role development
