Full time Mentor
Position: Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA)
Starting date: ASAP
Location: Southwark
Free CPD and constant support with interviewing
We are looking for a dynamic individual to become a mentor for Emotional Literacy Support Assistant. The role is on a long-term basis until June with an immediate start for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide emotional literacy support for specific pupils from years 7-11 for catch-up tuition.
2. Build relationships with teachers and specific students.
3. Proactively boost students' confidence.
4. Mentor and support students 1-1 or in small groups, and occasionally help in the classroom.
5. Assist with after-school private study time.
Minimum Requirements:
* Emotional Literacy Support experience or qualification.
* Experience of working as a teaching assistant/tutor (desired, not essential).
* Counselling experience.
* Interest in the education sector.
* Current enhanced DBS (or willing to process one).
* A recent graduate (graduated within the last 2 years) (desired, not essential).
* Ability to engage with and inspire young learners.
