RAF-3818 – STELLEX MANUFACTURING LIMITED – TRAINEE CAD DESIGNER
Stellex Manufacturing Ltd based in Hadston-Northumberland offers an extensive range of products for use in the catering industry, from the simplest of tables for food preparation through to bespoke and high spec servery counters. Throughout the Company’s trading history, we have earned a reputation with the catering fabrication and distributor markets for providing high quality solutions and services to all its end users. We are now looking to recruit for a Trainee CAD Designer to join our team.
This position is a 4-year training program with a salary review at the end of every year. At the end of the 4 years, the successful candidate will be offered a permanent role.

Role Overview:
Reporting directly into the Design Manager, this role is an integral part of the business's ongoing success. You will be required to assist with converting any technical concept and catering solution into concise drawings using CAD facilities which will be used to assist production through to installation. Other duties involved in this task are as outlined below:
Main duties will include:
* Assist with liaising with internal and external customers to ascertain fully their needs prior to conversion into the required CAD drawings.
* Learn how to interpret technical requests into drawings in readiness for manufacturing output.
* Work closely with the production staff to assist with any troubleshooting or new developments.
* Assist with any other duties as required by the business in line with your skill set and experience.
Skills & Experience Required:
* A recent graduate/trainee with working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D experience.
* Be an independent self-starter. Experience with using Autodesk Inventor, metal work and flat patterning is an advantage.
* Have no fear of exploring innovative problem-solving solutions.
* Must be able to work equally as well as part of a team or on your own.
* Be able to agree and meet reasonable time scales for the work required.
* Pay attention to detail and quality with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to multitask.
The above requirements would be an advantage, but training will be given to the successful candidate looking to progress their career.
Depending on the needs of the business, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to attend training courses to develop their skills in CAD designing.
