GSL Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant (Special Needs TA) to join a supportive and welcoming school in Romsey. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel safe and supported. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a caring and patient approach to support students with special educational needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, what you’ll do: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with additional needs. Assist in implementing tailored learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher. Support students' emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour. Adapt lesson materials to suit individual learning styles. Help students build confidence and independence in their learning. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and the SENCO. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued. SEN TA Qualification: Any degree in psychology, education or similar. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or childcare are preferred but not essential. Previous experience in an SEN or educational setting as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable. A caring and patient approach to working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to different learning needs and challenges.
