We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Deputy Head of Clinical Services to join our inpatient services based at Bowmere Hospital, Chester. The postholder will work within a dynamic care group and strong clinical and operational leadership team to ensure service provision is clinically led and managerial enabled; supporting clinical engagement and leadership.

Main duties of the job
As the Deputy Head of Clinical Services, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Clinical Services in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing Quality Assurance; ensuring high quality, safe and effective services are delivered effectively to exceed targets. Reporting and delivering on incidents, action plans and continuous service improvements.
2. An open, inclusive management style that creates a culture of excellence and collaboration. Efficiently managing resources to ensure delivery of safe, effective patient-centered care and exceeding targets.
3. Overseeing a culture in which staff are enabled to be the best that they can be demonstrating commitment to our Trust visions, values, continuous improvement and ensuring the effective management and delivery of the services within their portfolio.
4. Leading on localised place based initiatives, integration and strategies representing CWP and the SMH care group. Translating strategic plans into operational delivery in clinical services and being responsible for performance, quality, safety and service.
5. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the local health, care and voluntary sector economy to manage and achieve improvements in Trust services generally.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Master's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
* ECDL or equivalent.
Knowledge
* Up to date knowledge of modern service delivery and national plans for health and social care.
* Budget management.
* Understanding of project management methodology and approaches.
* Understanding of service improvement tools and techniques.
* Knowledge of clinical governance and the Health Care Standards.
* Knowledge of the relationship between Commissioners, Providers, Local Authority and third sector.
Experience
* Evidence of considerable management experience underpinned by in depth study and experiential learning e.g. experience of working in a clinical setting at a senior level, i.e. Team Leader or above.
* Evidence of leadership and change management.
* Evidence of innovation.
* Research and Audit.
