Role:Product Support Engineer / Electronics Engineer Location:Rochester, Kent Permanent Salary:£44-£50,000 per annum plus performance based bonus We are recruiting for a Product Support/Electronics Engineer position based with our global client in Rochester, Kent.You will join the Design and Product Support team who are dedicated to delivering a range of sophisticated solutions to the power and energy industry. As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing proactive product support and training to valued customers, as well as supporting project delivery and field installation/commissioning teams. Their comprehensive portfolio includes both hardware and software solutions, developed in-house or sourced from trusted third-party suppliers. They specialise in tackling complex network solutions, Dynamic System Monitoring, Power Quality, and Generator performance monitoring. Job Specification: Providing internal training to Design Engineers / Field teams on products and solutions Daily interaction with internal and external clients to resolve problems ranging from simple to complex network, protocol, interfacing and data issues Creating and maintaining reference and training documents Assisting with configuring systems to ensure compliance to specifications (This will mostly be in the workshop but occasional site visits will be necessary so a full UK driving license is essential) Interfacing with clients at the pre-sales stage Occasionally conducting Factory Acceptance testing with customers present Fault finding on systems to determine hardware/configuration issues Skills Required: Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering discipline or similar Excellent written and spoken skills Excellent problem solving skills and an engineering curiosity mindset A good understanding of Network products and systems (configuring switches, VLANs etc) with hands on experience Strong capabilities with PC applications (standard windows and manufacturer specific) Knowledge of the principles of Cyber Security would be advantageous Good understanding of electronic hardware and interfacing (RS232, RS485, microprocessors etc) Ability to turn concepts into repeatable working solutions Experience of working with protocols such as IEC104, Modbus, DLMS would be an advantage Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers Additional Benefits Performance-Based Bonus: Enjoy an annual bonus linked to the company's performance Flexible Working Hours: Achieve a healthy work-life balance with flexible working arrangements Pension Plan: Secure your future with a generous pension scheme, with employer contributions up to 10%.
