An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Volunteer Engagement Team (part of our People Team) to support the continued growth of our Volunteer base at Isabel Hospice. You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist and the wider People Team to ensure the timely engagement of volunteers for the Hospice and the retention of our existing volunteers. Our Volunteers give up their valuable time to help the Hospice to provide its specialist services to our patients and family members, without our volunteers we would not be able to provide the services that we do. Focusing on systems and maintenance of a new Database, the role holder will need to ensure that the database is utilised to its fullest capacity, accurately maintained and timely support is provided to managers and volunteers in its use, troubleshooting where issues arise. On a daily basis, you will receive and process volunteer applications, liaising with department leads and processing pre-volunteering checks, such as references and DBS clearance. Running reports, analysing data, and producing metrics for committees on volunteer engagement activity is also required. Through analysis of departmental needs, the People Systems & Data Administrator will also support the recruitment, selection, and induction of a wide range of volunteers and attend volunteer events as required. Cover for some HR admin tasks will also be required. This is a busy role, requiring extensive coordination between Isabel Hospice departments and volunteers to ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed, and volunteers feel supported and welcomed by the organisation. To apply you must have previous experience of using databases and Excel, troubleshooting and maintaining the integrity of reporting through the timely input and maintenance of data. You should be able to prioritise your work and focus on achieving key targets in the agreed timescales. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively across all departments. This role is part time, 30 hours per week.
