We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced New Build Mobilisation Manager to join our client in Gourock.
The New Vessel Mobilisation Manager will be responsible for managing the oversight and delivery of new build vessels from build contract award through to delivery and Operations. The New Vessel Mobilisation Manager is also responsible for bringing new vessels into management and operation, ensuring the Fleet Management Department is ready in all aspects for taking on management of vessels and ensuring the vessels, crews and port staff are ready for operational service and ports and port staff are ready to operate with new or upgraded infrastructure.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Essential:
1. Experience in commercial ship operations and management, senior sea-going Marine (Deck) or Engineering background.
2. Experience of working on small to medium scale projects and programmes in a similar role.
3. Experience in managing and delivering new build vessels and yard site teams, delivering vessels to operations.
4. Knowledge of build process, Class build rules and Flag state requirements.
5. Management experience of small and technical teams.
6. Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Willingness to travel, sometimes abroad (approx. 10-20% of time during live build projects).
8. Full driving licence required.
Desirable:
1. Ferry/ROPAX experience would be advantageous, particularly non-SOLAS EU and Domestic Classes and Rules.
2. Experience in following quality management systems, processes, and procedures.
3. Experience with public contracts and procurement.
4. Experience with Project management and software.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* The role will support the Strategy & Change Programme team projects, by managing Subject Matter Experts support for new vessel and infrastructure concepts such as; assessment of proposed vessel designs, delivery and handover of new, second-hand and chartered vessels (hereafter referred to as New Vessels, as in ‘new to the fleet’) and support new or life expired infrastructure development and improvements, where this impacts or interfaces with vessels.
* Functional management and coordination of work activities of yard site teams (including crew) during build attendance and trials.
* Management of department processes should be in line with company expectations and ensuring consultation is completed with relevant process reviewers when adding, amending, deleting, and reviewing owned processes.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER
Salary £75,000 - £85,000 plus car allowance
