Job Description
Mansfield District Council is seeking an experienced Interim General Manager to provide sympathetic leadership and operational support for Mansfield Palace Theatre during a period of exciting transformation.
This role is perfect for someone looking to oversee operations which are ready for change, with a high degree of autonomy, provide impact in the short term and set us up to respond to future needs.
We are looking for a forward-thinking team leader, who has worked in modern, inclusive venues and can apply industry best practice to build a strong and sustainable operational model.
We're looking for someone who knows front line teams well, who can motivate them to represent a set of behaviours fit for a modern visitor attraction which is welcoming and accessible.
A key focus will be finding ways to cover rising supplier costs, increasing income and balancing our local expectation for good value.
The successful candidate will have the freedom to make impactful changes quickly, delivering operational solutions that support the Theatre's long-term success.
The work is supported by Mansfield District Council's place in Arts Council England's National Portfolio and this role will be the primary lead on their Investment Principle "Dynamism".
