Purpose of the Role
As a Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of allocated tests, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Working under the guidance of the Head of Department, you will contribute to the success of our business objectives by maintaining the highest standards in equipment testing and reliability.
Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and motivate your allocated team to achieve performance goals.
* Oversee and complete test processes, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
* Communicate test results effectively with departments, including projects, engineering, and production teams.
* Identify and resolve testing process issues, providing root cause analysis and failure diagnosis.
* Assist in the design and review of test rigs, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and health and safety standards.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need
* An HNC qualification in electrical, mechanical, or plant engineering.
* Relevant industry experience, particularly in equipment testing.
* Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
* A proactive mindset with flexibility and the ability to adapt to change.
* General computer proficiency and attention to detail.
