Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our friendly Immunisation Team.
The team are responsible for the delivery of the Department of Health (DH) School Aged VaccinationProgramme across Calderdale.
We work with parents, children and schools to promote the uptake of vaccinations.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will help to deliver the school aged vaccination programme in a safe and inclusive manner, working within the NMC code of conduct.

We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.

Job description
Job responsibilities
1. Plan and organise immunisation sessions in schools and where necessary, alternative community settings and clients homes.
2. Deliver the school age immunisation programme in line with current medicines management policy and procedures.
3. Provide advice, guidance and support to schools to achieve the successful delivery of the school based immunisation programme.
4. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with NMC standards.
5. Assist with data collection and the completion of statistical information
Due to the nature of the role, the successful applicant would hold a full UK driving licence and have consistent access to a vehicle. However, if this is not possible due to a disability defined by the Equality Act 2010 then reasonable adjustments would be considered.

Essential
6. NMC Registered Nurse in relevant field of practice
7. Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor qualification or willingness to complete

8. Additional post-registration qualification relevant to field of practice
9. Evidence of continuing professional development
10. Role Specific Training relevant to specialty of the post
Knowledge, experience & expertise
Essential
11. Knowledge and skill to plan, deliver, and evaluate high quality, evidence-based nursing care to a group of patients within the speciality of the post
12. Experience of working with patients, and those that matter to them, from a range of diverse cultures and backgrounds
13. Experience of working as part of a team, with the ability to prioritise own workload.
14. Knowledge and skill in infection prevention and control principles and procedures
15. Knowledge and skill in safeguarding principles and procedures
16. IT literacy and ability to use NHS systems
