Senior Project Manager – Policy Administration System (PAS) Implementation

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful implementation of a Policy Administration System (PAS) within a London Markets insurer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, an in-depth understanding of the London Markets insurance environment, and demonstrable experience managing end-to-end PAS implementation projects.
This role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership:
• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the PAS implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
2. Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including senior executives, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
• Manage expectations, provide regular updates, and facilitate decision-making.
3. Delivery & Execution:
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, tracking progress against milestones, budget, and timelines.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues to ensure project success.
• Ensure project documentation, including plans, reports, and issue logs, is maintained and updated.
4. Team Collaboration:
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including IT, business analysts, underwriting, and operations professionals.
• Foster a collaborative environment to ensure alignment and effective communication across all teams.
5. Vendor Management:
• Manage relationships with external vendors involved in the PAS implementation.
• Ensure third-party deliverables meet agreed standards and timelines.
6. Change Management:
• Facilitate change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of the new system by end users.
• Oversee training, communications, and support strategies.
Key Requirements
1. Experience:
• 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in the London Markets insurance industry.
• Proven experience delivering PAS implementation projects in a complex, regulated environment.
2. Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with leading PAS platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens).
• Strong understanding of the insurance lifecycle, including underwriting, claims, and policy servicing.
3. Project Management Expertise:
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
4. Soft Skills:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. Qualifications:
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) preferred.
