Job Description
Eurofins E&E CML Limited is seeking to recruit Certification Engineers who have a background in either:
1. Electronic engineering and who will be appointed to specialise in the evaluation of equipment that utilise “intrinsically safe” electronics.
2. Electrical or mechanical engineering and who will be appointed to specialise in the evaluation of equipment that utilize mechanical and electrical equipment and components.
Suitable training on this specialised area will be provided.
These are both technical and client-facing roles that would suit an electrical and/or electronics engineer who is currently working for a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, process or industrial equipment in a product design capacity or working for a certification body; and who is enthusiastic, pragmatic, and thorough and who enjoys being part of a small, growing team. Experience is preferred at this stage, but we are also willing to discuss other roles and opportunities with newly qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
As a well-established business, with a wide-ranging scope, the exact role requirements can be determined partly to suit the candidate’s own experience, interests and capabilities. We see this as an opportunity to develop with the business and potential for the candidate's role to evolve over time as the business grows.
Initially, the expectation is that the role would involve responsibility for:
1. Assessment of products designed to national, regional and international standards.
2. Preparation of technical reports, technical files and certificates.
3. Preparation of quotations.
4. Technical advice meetings with clients.
Senior roles may include responsibility for review of draft reports and mentoring trainee certification engineers.
Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
2. Attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple activities at once, and a collaborative work ethic.
3. A demonstrable desire to deliver outstanding service internally and externally.
4. An applicable degree, HND or HNC technical qualification is required, with electronics or electrical subjects preferred.
5. Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to “get involved” and form part of our continued success.
6. Experience in the design or certification of products intended for use in hazardous areas is advantageous but not required.
