Audit and Accounts Senior hybrid position, within a historic accountancy practice based in Barnet, that have grown into a firm which delivers a wide range of services to clients throughout the UK, with expertise in the construction and property sectors.

Audit and Accounts Senior Position Overview
1. Roughly a 75/25 split between Audit and Accounts work.
2. Assisting the Senior Managers with the planning of audits and completion of the detailed audit testing.
3. Producing financial statements and drafting Corporation tax computations, which may include completing accounts from a trial balance provided by the clients or finalising accounts where the groundwork has been completed by other members of the team.
4. Submitting approved Accounts and Corporation tax returns.
5. Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns.
6. Delegating work to our outsourced team in India and reviewing their completed work.
7. Management of some monthly bookkeeping and management account assignments with the objective of providing completed monthly management accounts to the Senior Managers for their review and meeting with the client.
Audit and Accounts Senior Position Requirements
8. They use CCH, so experience of this is a plus but not a necessity.
9. Many of their clients also use Sage and Xero so again any experience in this software would be advantageous.
10. Qualification status: ideally fully qualified, however finalists may be considered.
Audit and Accounts Senior Position Remuneration
11. Salary expectations - circa £40k to £55k, but this is negotiable depending on the quality of the candidate
12. Discretionary bonus
13. Annual leave - 30 days including bank holidays and 2 duvet days
14. Private Healthcare - provided by the company after probationary period has been successfully completed
15. Pension - employees pay a minimum of 5% and the company will pay 3%
16. Annual company trip - overnight stay at a European city. The company will pay for flights, hotels, meals, etc.
17. Reporting to the Senior Managers
18. Hours - 37.5 hours per week
19. Probationary Period - 3 months from commencement date
20. Location of role - home, office in Barnet or mix of both. Please note, employees primarily working from home will be required to come to the office for client/team meetings and for team office days (currently twice a month). This role will also involve attending clients' premises as and when necessary.
21. During the probationary period the candidate will be expected to be office based more frequently to facilitate with training and job shadowing with other staff.
