You will commission and produce technical reports, coordinate activity with devolved country colleagues, and develop links and strategic relationships with other organizations to maximize our impact. In addition to developing policy, you will support legal action and deliver the case for action and implementation to key stakeholders, such as policymakers, food businesses, and other organizations in the food and farming sector, on proposed policy changes.
We’re looking for someone with:
* Policy development experience, demonstrated by examples of supporting policy development through to implementation.
* In-depth experience and knowledge in one or (ideally) more of the following areas of policy: Climate/Agriculture or land use/Food or diets/Biodiversity and nature restoration/Economics.
* An understanding of how policy is influenced, both inside and outside Government.
* Experience of developing and influencing key stakeholders, changing opinions, practices, and creating new models to deliver policy change.
* Understanding (and ideally previous experience) of the opportunities and challenges that arise from working on issues across the whole of the UK.
* Experience of carrying out and commissioning research.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
