UK Chemical Plant Operator
Main aspects of the role
1. Operate a variety of chemical plant equipment including loading/off loading tankers.
2. Follow detailed standard operating procedures.
3. Problem Solving in Production Areas.
4. Regular manual handling of chemicals bags up to 25kg and drums.
5. Assist with Audits and Inspections.
6. Participate in the site Emergency Response and continuous improvement and asset care.
We need you to be able to:
* Work shifts Days and Nights (2 x 12 days, 2 x 12 nights) with 6 days off but must be available to cover with reserved hours.
* Understand Top Tier COMAH.
* Possess basic numeracy and literacy skills.
* Have computer skills (SAP advantageous, Microsoft packages).
* Hold a Counterbalance FLT licence.
It would be great if you could also have this:
* Lean Manufacturing knowledge (5S, Kaizen & 7 wastes) advantageous.
* Experience in the chemical industry is not vital but a manufacturing background would be advantageous.
