Active Personnel Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator to join our client's team. This role involves handling and transporting materials using a telehandler, ensuring smooth operations in a busy yard and workshop environment. You will work closely with logistics coordinators, drivers, and stock controllers to support daily operations efficiently.
Responsibilities

Operate a telehandler to load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.

Handle and transport plastic pipes, pallets, and other large goods.
*
Assist with daily picking, packing, and dispatch of products.
*
Ensure the yard and workshop areas are well-kept, organised, and visually appealing.
*
Support the movement and storage of products across the site.
*
Work alongside logistics and workshop teams to fulfil customer supply requirements.
*
Follow health and safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Skills & Requirements
*
MUST HAVE - Telehandler experience (valid certification preferred).
*
Forklift (FLT) experience is highly desirable.
*
Experience handling and moving large goods.
*
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
*
Organised and able to work effectively as part of a team.
*
Training will be provided on the operation of the Merlo telehandler.
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent (through Active Personnel Recruitment Ltd)
Pay: £12.60 - £13.50 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
